Each of us spends several hours on the phone during our day to call, communicate, listen to music, watch videos, read. This use has become even more intense during this period when we are forced to stay more time at home and so we rely on digital devices to work or simply stay in touch with family and friends.

According to several studies spending many hours with your head down on a smartphone or tablet can have significant consequences, especially in the neck area causing neck pain and headaches.

A study by Kenneth Hansraj, chief of spinal surgery at the New York Spine Surgery and Rehabilitation Medicine shows that in a year there are between 700 and 1400 hours of cervical stress that become 5,000 in the case of people who, for work reasons, are forced to spend most of the day with their head bent over the phone. Result? Headaches and neck pain. What to do? Let's start with the first ones.

Staying all day with the head down on the devices causes a stress on the cervical spine tract of the spine equal to a load of over 20 kg compared to the 3-4 kg that it has to withstand in normal situations, leading to the development of chronic headache.
In this case, in addition to reducing the use of the mobile phone as much as possible, it is useful to often change posture and prefer the use of earphones.

Now let's move on to neck pain. Staying too long with the neck hypertension, perhaps lying on the pillow or with the head bent, can lead to discomfort and pain until the physiological curvature changes over time. The symptoms are those of a classic inflammation pain, buzzing, tingling that can radiate from the neck to the arms and even the hands.

Again, changing your position often when using mobile phones and tablets is recommended and, if you cannot reduce their use, promote correct posture by positioning your device at the right height and position. If the discomfort continues a good ally is the use of electromagnetic waves. Magnetoenergy devices, thanks to the combination of high and low frequency fields, act on the part affected by the discomfort, reducing inflammation and relieving pain.  All this in a simple, effective and drug-free way.
